Today we wanted to show you a sneak peek of one of our latest remodels in Mantua in Fairfax. If you don’t know much about Mantua, it’s an excellent neighborhood, and both Sean and I (Corey) live here. This neighborhood has large lots and fantastic schools, and it’s close to the Mosaic District and beltway. See some of our progress on this home at 0:30 in the video above.
This house was built in the early 1960s, so we wanted to open up the split-level design. We took out three walls and relocated the garage door and sliding back doors. Now this home has a wide-open floor plan. We’ve just begun installing new kitchen cabinets, and hardwood floors are being put in this week. There will be a huge island in the kitchen, and tons of both recessed and natural light.

Our last few projects received several offers on the first weekend, so we’re excited to see what this renovation brings.
