We’re standing here in the newly created master suite of a renovation project in Skyview Lane in Mantua. As you can see in the video above, I’m standing in what was the original bedroom, which we combined with a separate, smaller bedroom to make an even bigger master suite. We also created a new hallway and a his-and-hers closet.
“It’s not huge, but it’s a much more functional space.”
This was an awesome house with a lot of great bones, but like many homes here in D.C. that were built in the ‘50s and ‘60s, it has really small bedrooms. Most of our clients are looking for bigger master suites, open living space, and more desirable master baths, so as another part of this expansion, we actually moved all of the bathrooms over and took up space from the other bedroom to create a much bigger master bath. It went from being a bathroom with a tiny vanity to a bathroom with double venues with storage, a walk-in shower, subway tile, and a window to bring in natural light. It’s not huge, but it’s a much more functional space.
Even though we have three or four weeks to go before it’s done, we’re so excited to show you the finished product in a future post. In the meantime, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’d love to hear from you.
